Wally Hunter

Managing Director, EnerTech Capital

Wally Hunter is a Managing Partner at EnerTech Capital and leads its Canadian operations from Toronto. With more than 30 years investing in energy technology and a 35-year finance career spanning venture capital, IPOs, M&A, and turnarounds, he previously served as Managing Director at RBC Capital Partners, overseeing its energy and advanced technology venture funds.

Wally currently sits on the board of EnerTech Portfolio company Powerside, and is a board observer at Aperia Technologies, Swift Navigation, Class8. His prior board roles and successful exits included investments in Distech Controls, HPC Energy Services, Sofdesk, and IPKeys Power Partners and Car IQ. Wally also sits on the board of the NHL Coaches Association. He holds a BA from the University of Western Ontario.
