Devesh Bharadwaj is the CEO and founder of Pani, a Canadian water technology company optimizing and decarbonizing industrial and urban water and wastewater treatment facilities worldwide (510 MT/year by2032). Since 2017, Pani has grown from a start-up into a globally recognized water technology leader helping treatment plants improve performance, reduce costs, and lower emissions.

Pani’s platform, Pani Zed, uses Operations Intelligence (OI)—purpose-built AI for water treatment—to accelerate optimization and upgrades at existing facilities without requiring majorcapital retrofits. By bringing together siloed streams of operational data fromplant systems such as SCADA, Pani delivers clear, actionable insights that help operators reduce operating and maintenance costs, increase water production, and lower the carbon footprint of treatment processes.

Under Bharadwaj’s leadership, Pani’s technology is deployed around the globe, serving municipal utilities and major industrial operators. A mechanical engineer with research experience in membrane processesand advanced water treatment systems, recognition for Bharadwaj and Pani include Forbes 30 Under 30 for Social Impact, awards for top water technology innovation, and a consistent place on the Global Cleantech 100 List.
