Julia Langer
Julia has held senior leadership positions in the environmental sector for nearly 40 years, developing strategy, advocating for policies, and inspiring public and private action to address pollution and ecosystem degradation. Julia currently leads The Atmospheric Fund, a $100 million endowment dedicated to advancing climate solutions in the Greater Toronto & Hamilton Area. While at WWF Canada she led campaigns to ban toxic chemicals, establish parks, protect endangered marine turtles, and support global companies develop and implement carbon emission reduction plans. Julia received the 2016 Minister’s Award for Environmental Excellence among other recognitions, has served on numerous advisory bodies including the Generation Energy Council, and continues to volunteer on various boards including Shift: action for pension wealth & planet health and Cycle Toronto. She is an avid gardener, wilderness canoeist and all-season cyclist.
