David Henderson

David is a thought leader and sought-after advisor, speaker, and expert contributor in the areas of water innovation, policy, and investing. In addition to leading the firm, David uses his industry network and knowledge to invest in and rapidly scale water-related companies. Some of the organizations that David has contributed to over the years include The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, BBC, US Environmental Protection Agency, Global Water Intelligence, Water Environment Federation, Private Equity International, International Water Association, National Association of Clean Water Agencies, US & Canadian Federal Governments, Singapore International Water Week, One Drop, MTU, MIT, Notre Dame, UCLA, United Nations, Wharton School of Business, IFC, InterAction Council, Confluence, ImagineH2O and the Brookings Institute. Prior to XPV, David was Vice President with the private merchant bank Kinghaven Capital Corporation (now VRG Capital). He was responsible for executing direct investments in a broad range of technology and traditional industries, M&A transactions, and corporate development value-add work for portfolio companies. David attended Ryerson University’s School of Business, where he specialized in the Entrepreneurship and Enterprise Development program and received the Ryerson Centre for Entrepreneurship Education & Research Award. He is a recipient of Canada’s Top 40 Under 40 Award, a member of the Young Presidents Organization, and a former Senior Fellow at the Brookfield Institute. David has received the Ontario Premier’s Award of Excellence, and was given the Enactus Global Champion Award, Canadian Alumni of the Year Award and Global Alumni of the Year Award for his contribution to the international success of the organization.
